Ghost Rider

Would you make a deal with the devil to save your father? Being in a family of circus performers has it perks, and it's downsides. After losing both parents to accidents, Johnny Blaze was adopted by "Crash" Simpson and his family. Crash successfully became Johnny's father figure, taking him under his wing as professional stunt riders. Over the years, Johnny perfected his riding and became closer to Crash's daughter, Roxanne. This is when the fairy tale becomes a horror story. Crash revealed that he was dying of cancer, and he wanted Johnny to take over the show. But over the years, Johnny had started becoming detached from stunt riding, and even detached from his foster father. He refused, and searched for some way to save Crash, going as far as to turn to the occult text for answers. In desperation, Johnny summoned Mephisto, a demon lord of hell. Johnny made a deal with the devil. If Mephisto made sure Crash wouldn't die from cancer, Johnny would swear himself to Mephito's servitude.

Ghost Rider

Never trust the devil. Crash didn't die from cancer, in fact he was cured. However, Crash died from a motor stunt the following day. And since Johnny had promised his soul to Mephisto if Crash didn't die from cancer, Mephisto still owned his soul. Johnny Blaze, now bonded to a demon entity known as Zarathos, could transform, at first only at night or in the presence of great evil, into the devil's bounty hunter. The Ghost Rider. The Rider's task? Condemn corrupt and escaped souls to hell, where they become slaves of Mephisto and their souls burn. While in Ghost Rider form, Johnny Blaze gains the following powers:

Over time, Johnny gained control over the Rider, gaining more free will and becoming able to summon the Ghost Rider transformation. Still pissed at Mephisto for the double cross, Johnny broke away from the devil, telling him he would never ride for him again. Johnny continues to ride as Ghost Rider, and still condemns the corrupt and guilty to hell, but he no longer serves Mephisto. In several occasions, Ghost Rider has actually defeated Mephisto himself. He is a force that wipes clean the evil of the world. The Ghost Rider is the Spirit of Vengeance. So be warned: if you're innocent, you have nothing to fear. But if you are guilty, if your soul is corrupt, the Ghost Rider will hunt you down and send your soul to oblivion.
